BUY NOWWhen I first started on my fitness competition journey, I wanted to know how to look like the fitness and bikini models I was seeing in magazines. I wanted to know what I needed to eat to get and stay in that kind of condition. I remember being in my 20s and seeing women in their 40s and 50s who were fitness competitors who looked at least a dozen years younger than their actual age, and I wanted to know the secret to that.
I always loved to cook, so while I was working as a full-time pilot (on call), I would create recipes to keep myself entertained and well fed. I started on my competition journey in 2006 and I remember writing the first recipe down on a scrap piece of paper. (It was the spicy Thai scallop stir fry and salad from chapter 4) and I couldn’t find a cookbook that met the criteria for my competition prep diet. It literally blew my mind as I was an avid home taught chef, and I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that I would have to eat plain chicken, steamed broccoli, and green beans for 9 more months as that’s how far away it was until my competition. It took away my joie de vivre!
I started to make recipes as close as possible to my prep diet on and off season and that helped me to create lifestyle recipes that really do work for staying lean all year around. It’s so important that you love the foods you are eating. When you are bored out of your mind it makes it impossible to stick to. We MUST keep ourselves eating healthy and delicious food, so it sticks!

I recommend eating 4-7 meals per day depending on your training schedule and goals. I would suggest eating a meal and gauging how hungry you are after about 2-4 hours. I would only eat if you are actually hungry. I usually eat every 3 hours.
You could, but unless you are naturally a genetic freak you should probably talk with your trainer about the Cookbook and recipes. I have used many of these while I was competing. There is a legend at the beginning of the Cookbook describing if it’s competition worthy or not. But to be safe chat with your trainer for approval as diets vary by the individual. There are a few “Treat” only recipes that I added to the Cookbook that use all natural ingredients, and have taken for an after show celebration treat, like my mom’s Date squares (which you will love). There are competition symbols for the competition approved recipes, but this maybe only be good for 16 weeks out as there may be tomatoes or carrots. This works great in the off season for variety and lots of vitamins. Like I said discuss this with your coach as no competition diet is the exact same for each person.
Like a competition, each person is different in their dietary needs to reach a certain goal. The Bikini Model Challenge and our premium coaching programs are CUSTOMIZED per individual goals. The competition recipes in the cookbook should work for most programs and most peoples goals. Recipe recommendations, if it fits your macros IIFYM and specific meal plans will be available in the programs.
To get into great shape most people need to simply eat healthier food and workout more. By sticking to the recipes in the cookbook that have the competition symbol you would be eating in line with a fitness/bikini model diet. You should start to develop that type of body as long as you combine your meals with some good hard training!
If this is a drastic change in diet for you, then you could start to see changes in as little as couple of days. You will feel leaner and lighter and notice your whole body starting to tighten up. For fast results, stick mainly to the competition recipes and avoid extra treats. (Make sure to look at the legend in each recipe). Yes! The serving sizes are suggestions for women. If you wish to share your meal with your man, I suggest about 1 ½ to 1 ¼ of the women’s sizes for men.
